Chapel Corner Tyres is a funding partner of Friends-R-4

Friends-R-4 is a community initiative established in 2008 by Dr Ronnie Goldberg OAM and the Rotary Club of Williamstown (District 9800). After several of Ronnie's friends and acquaintences had been diagnosed with various blood, bone marrow and skin cancers - lymphoma, leukaemia, multiple myeloma and melanoma - Friends-R-4 was established as a way to fight these cancers.

Friends-R-4 aims to raise funds in order to:

a) provide funding for urgent medical research
b) purchase desperately required equipment at local institutions and centres
c) provide assistance to cancer sufferers and their families
d) help promote the prevention and awareness of skin cancer

Chapel Corner Tyres is proud to not only be a funding partner, but an active part of the organisation.

Tuesday 11th of May 2010 was a special day for Friends-R-4, as the John Brustman Memorial Golf Day was held at Cranbourne Golf Club. The day was held in memory of a wonderful friend of many, and the proceeds of the day were to be donated to Professor Grant MacArthur's reseach on Melanoma at the Peter Mac Institute. In excess of 90 golfers participated in the event, and combined with the 20+ sponsors an incredible $60000 was raised!!
