The cooling system is responsible for:
removing excess heat from the engine.  It also provides heated air to the vehicle interior.

Liquid coolant is continuously circulated between the radiator and engine.

Air passing through the radiator or cooling fan maintains the coolant at the correct operating temperature.

The radiator, cooling fan, thermostat, water pump, coolant and hoses all require regular maintenance at selected kilometer and/or monthly intervals, as specified by the manufacturer.
